John Allen Muhammad, remember him? He’s the DC sniper that left 10 dead during his three week killing spre in 2002.

Muhammad, age-48, was executed Tuesday at 9 p.m.

Muhammad’s attorney, J. Wyndal Gordon said he had no regrets and was fearless, of-course he also says he was innocent…

From CNN; In a statement read on behalf of the lawyers for the family of Muhammad, after the execution by defense lawyer Jon Sheldon said.

” We deeply sympathize with the families and loved ones who have to relive the pain and loss fo those terrible days; our sympathies also extend to the children of Jon Muhammad who, with humility and self-consciousness, today lost a father and a member of their family.

To all those families and the countless citizens across the country who bore witness and continue to do so to those tragic events, we renew our condolences and we offer our prayers for a better future.”

” He died very peacefully, much more than most of his victims.” said Paul Ebert, the Virginia prosecutor who won the death penalty conviction. 

A sister of one of Muhammad’s ex-wives say Muhammad returned form the first Gulf War a changed man. Sheron Norman says the nation should do a better job of taking care of its veterans.

I find it strange that his execution comes just days after the the attack on Fort Hood by another Muslim extremist, leaving 13 dead and 30 more injured.  Although Jon Allen was a converted Muslim,  his beliefs were the same.  Fearless, yes, because they feel they have secured their place in heaven by killing others they they view as infidels.
