Fort Hood Terrorist Attack – What MSNBC Wont Say

HHHAmericans were shocked to witness the attack at Fort Hood as it unfolded yesterday on national TV.     The attacker, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was stopped when he was shot three times but not before killing 13 people and wounding 30 others.

Military officials say that Hasan, 39, was overheard yelling  Allahu Akbar, “God is Greatin Arabic as he began the murderous slaughter.   News agencies, attempting to distort the publics perception, continue to use phrases and word such as ”alleged“, “suspect“ and “his motive is unknown“.

Hasan, a psychiatrist, was stationed at Fort Hood to help soldiers with emotional wounds incurred as a result of being deployed into war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq.  He even sought counseling for himself because of trouble he had dealing with some of his patients, said a former boss.

Hasan, who objected to his own looming deployment to Afghanistan, where he was to counsel soldiers suffering from stress, would argue with fellow soldiers who supported the U.S. war policy.

A classmate noted Hasan’s anger and said, “Hasan viewed the war against terror as a war against Islam“.

News reports, Aka, MSNBC, tell about Hasan’s life.  They report that Hasan was a Major, had a medical degree and worked at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in an attempt to paint a picture of a well educated and professional individual who was being forced by the military to do things against his religious beliefs.  Although this picture may hold some merit these facts to do not excuse nor explain his terrorist actions.  Children are now missing a parent, people are now without thier spouse, parents are now without their children all because of this man.

Reporting unrelated facts in an attempt to paint this man as a “good person”, and a  ”well-educated professional”  in order to distract people from the fact that he was a Muslim extremest, which was apparent when he yelled “Allahu Akbar”  is a slap-in-the-face to every person who lost someone they loved when this man went on his terrorist rampage.

Not since the 9-11 attacks have Americans been made to feel so vulnerable or unsafe.   The terrorists from 9-11 were also well educated, intelligent individuals that believed they could secure a place in heaven by killing as many “infidels” as possible.    The 9-11 attacks were more wide scale and better organized, however, the goals of these terrorists are not only to kill infidels but also to strike fear or “terror” in the hearts of the survivors.  Hassan’s attack on a U.S. military base, although killing fewer people, may be just as effective as the attacks from 9-11.  He infiltrated the core of what makes Americans feel safe, our military.

I need to gather my thoughts before posting. I am completely enraged at this situation. Hasan even held a classroom lecture on how suicide bombers were justified in their actions! So much was going on with this man, but “nobody wanted to say anything because they would be accused of discrimination.”

This is a comment from the ABC news site. I could add much more, but I think that this American summed up quite a bit. Just wanted to share some of the comments I am seeing on the web.

“With hindsight being 20/20, this is one more reason why if you come to America you do as Americans. You are not African American, American of Asian decent, American of Middle Eastern decent, or whatever title you want to attach to you
yourself. You are an American! Period. We speak English, we are proud of the American Flag and those who fight or have fought to preserve the rights of that flag and our nation. If you have reservations, or misgivings about what America is, who we are, or what we do then go back to your native nation and try to change it to what you want it to be. We as Americans (and I speak for many) are tired of bowing down and giving in to your culture, ways of live and foreign beliefs. You are feel to think and act any way you want as long as it doesn’t hurt, humiliate, degrade another person. Yes, we have our problems and negative history here, but this is America! Like or leave it. You have the ability to make the choice.”

tonight on ABC nightly news with Brian Ross special investigating report I heard the following? The Army knew that the Major had contacted the terroist on his computer. That doctors who attended the Army University with him complained to their commanding officer that he had taken an oath, swore his alligence to the Army and the Constitution of the US and then said that he had a problem because the war is with the muslins and he think cannot fight against his people. This man Should have been taken out of the program by his commanding officer, not given a promotion or moved on to another activity. What he did was against all the princiles of the United States Army. Now what I do not understand is why was this all pushed under a rug? This caused so many young soliders and civilians to loose their life, plus all the wounded. Have we not learned anything in this country?
I cannot believe this whole situation. This should have never happened if people would stop being politically correct. I just think this is a very very sad day.

By the way Cindy I have to agree with you….My grandmother came to this country, she worked hard, she learned English. She also spoke her German/Hungarian only at home. Same with my Moter in law. They both loved this country. They respected the law and never wanted to go back to the counties they came from. I feel if you come to America to make a better life you picked the best country in the world. Learn our language, go by our laws, and most of all have respect for all people. Most Americans and I will say the majority of them are good citizens. Don’t move here and try to live the way you did in the old country. It don’t work. If you are not happy then go back from where you came from. There are plenty of people waiting in line to come here. Every country has problems and negative history. But its History, so move on and forward.
    Don’t dwell on the negative
